1 Peter: Chosen Exiles

Peter writes to Christians scattered throughout Asia Minor (modern day Turkey) who will soon face difficult times. God has chosen them as his own people-- they have inherited the promises made to Israel. And so they are now exiles and strangers in this world, journeying towards the kingdom of God. Looking to Jesus, they are now to imitate his example in every aspect of their lives
