The Rising Seniors in 2020

Hi all, thank you so much for your responses to the message (below). It is clear that Friday night works best for all of you. Some of you preferred option 3, others were indifferent towards options 1 and 3.

We are going to push ahead with option 1 as a trial this term and see how we go. This is because we currently don’t have enough leaders to do option 3. This means that Rising Seniors will be combining with Juniors at the Rec Centre from 6:30-8:30pm. We will work on making sure that Seniors have enough space to themselves as part of the night. You can give us further feedback as we go through this trial period.

Hi everyone,

I would like to gauge your thoughts on a couple of options concerning The Rising Seniors (years 10-12) this year.

Option (1):

The Rising Seniors would be on Friday Nights at the Rec Centre along with Rising Juniors (years 6-9). Seniors and Juniors would be together for some parts of the evening, and separate for some parts of the evening.

Option (2):

The Rising Seniors would be like a Bible study group after school one day per week, somewhere in Avalon. From about 4:30-5:30pm (depending on what suits everyone). We would just read the Bible, talk about life, and pray together.

Option (3)

Keep it separate from Juniors, on Friday Nights at the Keen Hall - the same as 2019. (assuming we have enough leaders)

Could you let me know your thoughts? Think about which is best for you, which one you are more likely to regularly attend, and which one you would feel OK about inviting your friends to. If you prefer option (2), could you let me know the days and times which would suit you. I know a number of you have to travel a long way to and from school, and have extra-curricular activities on certain days.
